The largest talent development conference in the world lands in Los Angeles next week, and Yoodli will be there.
ATD 2026 runs May 17–20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. If you’re heading to the conference and want to talk about what’s changing in L&D right now, come find the team at Booth 2341. Betsy, Ajay, Mike, and Landon will be there all week.
A conversation worth having this year
This ATD feels different. The question isn’t whether AI belongs in learning programs anymore — most teams have moved past that. The question now is what actually works, what’s creating friction, and how you build something durable without blowing up what already works.
That’s the tension we keep hearing from L&D leaders, and it’s exactly what our CEO Varun Puri is joining a panel to discuss on Sunday afternoon.
Varun’s session: Is eLearning broken?
On Sunday, May 17 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM in Room 301B, Varun joins Benjamin Dorr of WellSaid, Marc Richards from LKQ, and Kathryn Kearney of Evergreen EdTech Consulting for a session called “Is eLearning Broken? How AI Is Changing Learning for Better or Worse.”
The conversation will focus on where traditional formats including modules, linear progression, completion tracking still hold up, and where they’re creating friction in a world where content can be created and updated faster than ever. The panel will cover what teams are actually testing, where they’re running into trouble, and what practical starting points look like for organizations that want to experiment without derailing programs that are working.
What we’ll be talking about at the booth
Yoodli helps L&D and enablement teams build practice infrastructure — the part of learning that most platforms skip. Not only content libraries or completion tracking, but realistic AI roleplay scenarios led by an AI tutor where employees practice the actual skills their jobs require, get specific feedback tied to the organization’s methodology, and improve before they’re in live high-stakes situations.
At ATD this year we’re especially focused on three conversations.
New hire certification and everboarding. Organizations that want to move beyond one-time onboarding and build continuous enablement that activates every time something in the business changes — a new product, a pricing update, a competitive shift.
AI tool adoption. Most enterprises have deployed Copilot, Gemini, and many other AI tools. Most employees aren’t using them fluently. We’ll talk about why passive training doesn’t build tool confidence and what actually does.
Practice at scale. What it looks like when a team of 15,000 gets certified in a month, or 3,000 reps do meaningful practice without consuming manager time. We have case studies worth walking through if that’s relevant to what you’re building.
Join us for dinner Tuesday night
On Tuesday evening, May 19, Yoodli and WellSaid are co-hosting a small dinner in downtown LA, about four minutes from the convention center. Small group, no agenda, no pitch. Just L&D leaders and a good view of the city.
